Piscinas:
Empezaremos hablando de las piscinas, de las cuales tenemos que decir que hay cuatro en total , una en el Bávaro que es la mas pequeñita de todas, una en el Palace y dos en el Punta Cana siendo una de ellas la mas grande de todo el complejo
Todas las piscinas cuentan con su barra húmeda y su bar para tomar algo cuando te apetezca siempre y cuando consigas hacerte un hueco, además de jacuzzis y tumbonas bajo palapas
Las piscinas son también el sitio al que tendrás que acudir para cambiar las toallas ya que cuentan con el chiringuito en el que se realiza el cambio de las mismas.
Nosotros la verdad que las piscinas no las utilizamos nada durante nuestra estancia ya que después de haber estado esperando todo el año para ir a la playita lo que nos apetecía era precisamente eso , PLAYA ,algo con lo que seguramente no coincidamos con mucha gente, ya que siempre solían estar llenas. Es por ésto por lo que no nos podemos decantar por ninguna pero vamos unas más grandes, otras más pequeñas son todas muy similares.
Además de bañarte o tomarte algo en ellas, en éstas se realizan un gran número de actividades por parte del equipo de animación como pueden ser el aquaerobic, partidos de waterpolo, etc ...actividades que se pueden convertir en el mejor aliado para matar el aburrimiento.
Por último y para finalizar con este tema decir que las piscinas permanecen abiertas de 07:00 a 19:00 horas.
Animación y anfiteatros:
Comentadas las piscinas y enlazando con el tema iniciado unas líneas mas de arriba hablaremos un poco sobre la animación en general y los anfiteatros.
El complejo cuenta con dos anfiteatros, el Sunset en el Bávaro que es al que nosotros íbamos y el cual se encuentra junto a la zona comercial; y el Merengue en el Punta Cana, el cual se encuentra detrás de la villa 67.
En éstos a partir de las 22:00 se efectúan los tan famosos espectáculos. Cada día se ofrece uno diferente en cada sitio por lo que en caso de que uno no os convezca demasiado podéis ir al otro.
Nosotros fuimos a ver 3 y para pasar el rato sirven, aunque si es verdad que no son gran cosa. Estuvimos en uno de Michael Jackson, en otro en el que se representaban danzas de todo el mundo y el último, que fue el más divertido y en el que mejor nos los pasamos, consistía en un chicos Vs chicas. Mientras los ves, decir que te puedes tomar un cóctel o lo que te apetezca, ya que el lugar cuenta con varios camareros los cuales van dando vueltas tomándote nota.
Sobre la animación, tema por el cual pregunta mucha gente decir que quien quiera la va a encontrar y quien no quiera no, cosa la verdad que para la gente que no va buscando animación se agradece ya que muchas veces se hace muy pesado el tener que estar diciendo que no te apetece participar en esta actividad o la otra.
Entre las actividades que podemos encontrar están las ya mencionadas de la piscina a las que se añaden aerobic en la playa, tiro con arco, actividades deportivas, juegos de todo tipo, etc ...
Según tengo entendido hay hoteles como por ejemplo los Riu que cuentan con más animación que éste pero bueno cada uno al elegir su lugar de estancia valora unas cosas u otras y la verdad que a nosotros la animación no era una cosa que nos importara en exceso.
Instalaciones deportivas y de ocio:
El complejo también para el que lo desee cuenta con instalaciones deportivas siendo el principal problema de las mismas que están al sol durante todo el día por lo que su utilización se reduce más a días nublados que otra cosa.
Las instalaciones se encuentran detrás del Punta Cana pudiendo uno disfrutar de 2 canchas de baloncesto, varias pistas de tenis y de badminton, un campo de fútbol, una zona de tiro con arco y un minigolf.
Además de esto, el complejo cuenta con un casino situado en frente del lobby bar del Palace el cual está abierto de 10:00 a 03:00, no pudiendo pasar los menores de de 18 años al mismo, una discoteca llamada Sunset Boulevar situada junto al anfiteatro del Bávaro y la cual está abierta de 23:15 a 02:00 y dos zonas comerciales, una en entre el Palace y el Punta Cana y otra en el Bávaro.
En las zonas comerciales básicamente hay: tiendas de regalos con precios nada recomendables y poca variedad, siendo el ir al Cortecito la opción más recomendable; el supermercado donde podréis encontrar desde comida hasta bronceadores con precios también un tanto abusivos; la consulta del médico y la sala de ordenadores para poder conectarse a Internet. El hotel no cuenta con zona wifi por lo que si queréis conectaros a Internet durante la estancia tendréis que hacerlo desde uno de estos ordenadores.
Otros de los alicientes con los que cuenta el hotel son un gimnasio el cual a partir de las 18:00 se llena bastante ya que es cuando empieza a anochecer con algunas máquinas de pesas y cintas para correr, un parque infantil en el cual poder dejar a los niños y un SPA bastante chiquitito y que será sustituido por uno nuevo mucho mayor y que tienen previsto inaugurar en Navidades.
Jardines y paseos:
Habiendo hablado ya de las piscinas, la animación, los anfiteatros, las instalaciones deportivas, el spa, etc ... y antes de pasar a comentar la playa haremos una parada para contar un poco más sobre los jardines, el entorno sobre el que están asentadas las distintas villas y las comunicaciones entre un sitio y otro.
La verdad que solo se puede definir con una palabra la sensación que te da el pasear por el hotel: MAJESTUOSA.
Lo tienen todo super cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle convirtiéndose el pasear en auténtico gustazo. Pasear en torno a los jardines con esas grandes palmeras y perderse por los caminitos no tiene precio, eso sí, evitad acortar por el césped puesto que podéis tener la mala suerte de que se os caiga un coco encima y os de un buen disgusto, cocos los cuales podéis pedir a los jardineros que os los abran y bebéroslos.
También podéis pedir que os los bajen que sin dudarlo un momento se subirán a por él, siendo la habilidad con la que trepan palmera arriba una cosa digna de ver. Sed agradecidos y dadles una propina, pues son el personal que menos cobra en el hotel y estoy seguro de que os lo agradecerán.
Además de los jardines podéis encontrar varios lagos, algunos de ellos entre las villas aunque los que realmente destacan sean los de las recepciones ya que cuentan con animales.
El de la recepción del Bávaro, que es el mas grande y a nuestro juicio el mas bonito está lleno de flamencos, garzas, patos y tortugas los cuales con un poco de suerte tendréis comiendo pan o cualquier bollito de vuestra mano.
Para desplazaros por el hotel podéis hacerlo bien por los caminos principales o bien por los alternativos, los cuales acabaréis utilizando ya que se acorta bastante a través de ellos. La única pega que encontramos en referencia a estos caminos es que por la noche no están todo lo bien iluminados que debían estar, pero todo no se puede tener.
Además de los caminos convencionales, el complejo cuenta con un servicio de trenecito el cual no deja a nadie indiferente . Este trenecito da una vuelta completa al complejo y está disponible desde las 10:00 a las 02:00. Hay veces que pasa a los cinco minutos y otras a la media hora, pero la verdad es que merece la pena montarte en él y dar una vuelta a todo el complejo a ritmo de bachatta. Si queréis podéis comprarle cd's de bachatta al conductor o incluso pedirle una foto en la cabina que de muy buena gana el mismo os la echará.
